Death to Cringe Culture
Heyo!
You are one of the few lucky ones to find my secret site!
If you’ve read my front page text and have caught the feeling of my art, then this will probably not come as a surprise to you, that the internet – and everything it has to offer – is something I’ve grown up with.
And with and upbringing on the internet basicly, I’ve have been on different forums, groups and culture spaces that the internet had to offer.
Everything from YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, old websites etc.
And as a person who has grown up drawing 24/7, I of course looked at art on the internet.
But on the internet, museum art wasn’t widespread, here it was digital art-works that took the spotlight.
So, I have grown up with things like My Little Pony, Anime, Voltron, Furries, Littlest Pet Shop, Five Nights at Freddies, Myst, and I can go on and on.
Within the last couple of years I’ve also gotten more into Sonic and Legend of Zelda!
The thing is, that before I got interested in museum art and the more traditional materials.
I was more interested in everything nerdy, things that would be called “Cringe”, and I myself would draw digital art pieces and fan-art to the the different titles I just gave above.
Before, I would hide this part of me away. But it’s such a big part of me, even to this day, I still engage in the spaces.
I am no better than the people on the internet, getting bullied for being “Cringe”, even though I now engage i more “professional” and serious art, does not mean I have a more “professional” and serious taste.
And I have chosen to stop feeling shame about liking the things I like, just because they’re childish or weird does not mean I need to hide it.
And with that, welcome to this Easter Egg site!
