Through the theory of Camp, this piece shows bites of internet- and childhood culture. The piece explores that of which most would call “cringe” (Toe-curlingly embarassing or awekward) through iconic internet- and childhood characters from tv-series, toys, beads and other associations like it.
The person is not clothed, but rather fully naked, they’re bathing in the cringeness of the objects. As well as being positioned in poses which reads as masculin and feminin, along with concealing their face to keep their identity anonymous, like many do on the internet.
I AM CR!NG3 BUT I AM FR33<3 is a konfrontation with internet-bullying and comments made on how one can live their life and which interest one is allowed to have.
