Original VHF admittance 2020 site

Hello!
Welcome stranger!
Go ahead and take a look around my website and dive into the many ways I create art, enjoy!
A little bit about me; My name is Majken SH. I’m a 17 y/o danish artist. I have been drawing since I was able to hold onto a pencil. I love to make art in different ways, and learn new methods and different forms of art! I enjoy making worlds, universes , stories for others to enjoy. The feeling of making something for others to relate to or something they can get lost in is something I very much love doing through my art! I hope that one day I can be someone who either make movies / animated movies, video-games, comics etc. Or all of the above. It brings me great joy to create something and make people relate to the characters or getting sucked into the stories. So that is what I strive to achieve through my talent! Though I know I still have a long way to go. On this quest I’ve been seeking skills different places, the latest at “Ouros Animation Studio” in Viborg. Their recomendations for further progress you can see here.

“The Bucket List”
This short film is about my bucket list. It tells about my bucket list in three different ways;
Firstly it’s about what I want to try in life. Though the bucketlist is split up, so there is a story coming out of one of the listing points and through that one listing point, inspiration comes so the other points are developing.
Secondly it reflects my process to make my bucket list. To be honest, I didn’t have one at the begining of this project, and I struggled a lot with finding out what would be on my bucket list. The slow begining in my shortfilm illustates this. The only thing that was on my bucket list at the time was exploring the video-game. But slowly each point came to me. And I think the short-film reflects my stuggle throughout this week.
Thirdly it tells a story of how the video-game on my bucket list led me to realize all the other points. Not as if I was only inspired by the video-game to all my points. But rather that it helped me on my way and led me to points I deep down knew I had, but had never written.
To me all of these stories fits perfectly to my short-film. They all tell a story about my bucket list, but in different ways. I think it’s fun not to decide which if one of the three is the right one, but leave it up to viewer to decide which one they think suits the best.
I wanted to try and experiment a bit with this short-film, so I used some different factors and styles. I knew I wanted the video-game and the real-world to have a difference. I decided to use videos of the video-game, and animate myself as the character. I wanted it to look like I was actually in the video-game, and that it was accurate to the video-game. But that the viewer could see that it was me playing as the video-game character. I also used the video-game fottage to give the viewer a feeling of the video-game. I didn’t draw the video-game fottage for two main reasons; One. I didn’t have the time. Two. I wanted the viewer to get a feeling of the video-game.
I get inspired by what I see and experience. That is what I aim to achieve for my visuel product; to inspire others and take them on a journey.
