Wood work
Entrance-bench - final project
2024 16/12 – 2025 10/01
3 weeks in the workshop of Skive College (GF2)
This was the final project of the education, we had to design this furniture from the bottom by ourselves – compared to the other projects we had made through out the school year, which we just had make with an already existing design.
In this furniture, we had to incorporate all that we had learned from the earlier projects.
There was many working days that went to nights through out this final project, thankfully there were many of us that made almost-all-nighters, and these evenings usually included a trip to the nearest pizzaria.
I wasn’t able to finish the furniture completely before the exam, but it was able to be put together without glue, so it passed. I am still fixing the last details here after being done with GF2.
Bench with braided seat
2024 18/11 – 29/11
2 weeks in the workshop of Skive College (GF2)
The last project before the Final-prject of the school year, was the tast to make a stool/bench with a braided seat. We could decide ourselves if we wanted to make a stool or a bench.
I chose a bench, and to stain most of the wood too, since I had chosen this project to be a gift for a friend, which wanted the wood to be stained a dark colour.
Just like with the shelf/mini-dresser, we were in charge of the machines and needed to finish the skeleton of furniture at a specific time, so that we could do the braided seat together at the same time with the entire class.
The braided seat itself is made of paper rope, so gloves were needed for this project, since it needed to be held tight and tightened through the whole braiding process.
Shelf/mini-dresser
2024 16/09 – 11/10
4 weeks in the workshop of Skive College (GF2)
After starting the school year with making some different small projects with focus on assembling methods. We started on making a shelf/mini-dresser.
We got 4 weeks to make the furniture out on the workshop, here we had to man the machines by ourselves and process all the wood correctly to reach the end goal of standing with a finished product we had made ourselves.
This project were named “Board-furniture” project, since the furniture were made of chipboards and veneer.

Sun stool
2023 22/11
Weekend course with the Log Ladies
We build the stool from the ground up, we were about 5 on the team which also included the two teachers.
We learned through the weekend, to use different tools and machines which we needed for the project.
The wood pieces themselves were already lightly sanded for us, so all we had to do was cutting them to size, drill holes the correct places and assemble the furniture.
And that showed to be a task by itself, since the rope needed for assembling the pieces, had to be tightened enough to keep the whole thing together, yet not so tight that the stool couldn’t be folded.
The assembling ended up being a “Team effort”, with each and every one of the participants stools.
